Deadline for Deauville Green Awards

The Deauville Green Awards 2020 announced their call for films. Spots, corporate films and documentaries that focus on subjects such as sustainable development, eco-innovations and social responsibility can be submitted to the festival until April 10. Located in the French sea resort Deauville, the 9th edition of the Deauville Green Awards film festival  is scheduled for June 17 and 18. In regards to the COVID-19 situation, the festival team is closely following the evolution of the health situation in France and internationally, and will reserve the possibility to reconfigure the event accordingly. The international jury will watch all the films online on the viewing platform.

 

The Deauville Green Awards feature three competitions with 14 different  categories. The bandwidth of themes is spanning from fight and adaptation to the climate change
and preservation of the biodiversity up to the energy transition, transports & eco-mobility, eco-tourism & responsible travel, sustainable production & circular economy as well as responsible consumption & eco-labels. The societal issues include health and the living environment, organizations and social responsibility, disability, diversity, solidarity, innovations and technological leaps and, demographic transition.

 

 

 

An international jury of audiovisual communication professionals and sustainable development experts will preselect the films. 
The best films of each category in each of the three competitions are going to compete for a Golden Trophy. Furthermore, three Grands Prix are awarded to the best institutional films, documentaries and awareness campaigns, in all categories and sections.  Independent directors, NGOs, young startups, students and teachers who want to present their , dokumentary, spot or corporate film at the Deauville Green Awards can apply for a nonprofit discount. In addition to the screenings of about 500 films, the event also offers pitchings, workshops and masterclasses with representatives from broadcasters, ministries, NGO‘s and startups. A special highlight are the expert round tables on this year’s focus „Living in 2050“, which have been developed in collaboration with Jean Jouzel, climatologist, Nobel Prize winner 2007 with the IPCC, who works on solutions that fight climate change.
