According to a study by the European Broadcast Union (EBU) two percent of all worldwide carbon emissions result from information and communication technologies&#8230; and they\u2019re still counting!<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><i>Green Film Shooting<\/i> presents approaches to sustainable operating methods \u2013 in Europe as well as all over the world. Sustainable media production involves everything from feature films for theatrical and\/or TV release, TV series, and commercials, all the way to broadcast technology, energy-efficient cinemas, and smart IT management, not to mention, on the consumer level, recyclable DVD covers produced without toxic solvents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"de-DE\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Green Film Shooting<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> is also a forum for ambitious and creative professionals in the media to share their experiences, information, ideas, and new approaches. The measures, models, and methods differ, because it is emblematic of Europe\u2019s diversity that many countrie<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">s<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> are developing their own carbon calculators. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">But when it comes to crucial issues, they unite to agree. As the first International Conference on Green IT recognized, hardware obsolescence must stop. In the U.S., it\u2019s not only big Hollywood productions that are cutting costs by avoiding waste and recycling, but smaller scale productions, as well.
