Among the movies which have been produced in a sustainable way is Darren Aronofsky\u2019s biblical epic <em>Noah<\/em> with Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson and Anthony Hopkins. Because <em>Noah<\/em> is a film about the first environmentalist, even the costumes played an integral role. In an effort to drive into a future of green living, the Hollywood studio added new electric vehicle charging stations in its parking structures. The charging stations are open to all employees. Furthermore, the studio reduced the printing of paper paychecks. Pay Stubs are available electronically and can be accessed online at kiosks across the lot or through a web browser on office computers or mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Paramount even launched a Green Shorts contest. Employees worldwide competed in a Green Shorts Contest to create short videos to encourage colleagues to be green in their daily life \u2013 work, home or play. Winners\u2019 videos were showcased at Paramount\u2019s companywide day of service. For the staff members of the studio, there are a whole bunch of offers and options in order to increase any sustainable actions. In honor of World Vegetarian Day, Paramount\u2019s Caf\u00e9 introduced an array of vegetarian and vegan dishes to its lunch menu. In conjunction with America Recycles Day, Paramount hosted a clothing drive for employees to donate clothing, shoes and linens. Instead of becoming trash, one ton of items was collected for re-use in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, the studio organized an electronic waste drive for employees to properly dispose of household electronic waste. The event collected more than two tons of electronic waste, which was safely diverted from a landfill and properly recycled.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And there are further sustainable actions such as the Los Angeles Zoo Bioswale Project. More than 50 Paramount employees volunteered to install upgraded watershed areas within the Los Angeles Zoo parking lot.
