The renewing process has been very creative. We need to be returning some of the investment that they are making into this research back into their own industry so that it grows.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Italy, Alessandro Bonifazi, produced with his company<a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/03\/06\/green-actions-in-italy\/\"> Blue Film<\/a> the documentary <em>Sul Vulcano<\/em> in a sustainable way while Belgian producer Charlotte Van Hassel went green for the first time when she produced the feature film Black. \u201eIn the beginning when I saw the carbon calculator, I thought it is a lot of administration but it wasn\u2018t like that. It was really easy\u201c, emphasizes Charlotte Van Hassel.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/159000049\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For Nevina Satta, CEO <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/02\/18\/local-heroes\/\">Sardegna Film Commission<\/a>, it is not an option to go green or not to go green. \u201eWe are an island and efficiency is a need of every single citizen\u201c, she stresses. If a huge film set is abandoned and a lot of trash is left behind on the beach, it affects the tourists season and destroys the reputation of the audiovisual industry. \u201eFilm Commisions are dealing with communities. The films sets go away but the Film Commissioner stays\u201c, says Nevina Satta. \u201eWe can also change the way we offer services to producers. We just don\u2018t give grants.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Joanna Gallardo, adviser of the French consortium <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/01\/29\/the-french-connection\/\">Ecoprod<\/a>, explains the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/02\/14\/ecologically-friendly-alternatives\/\">Ecoprod Charter <\/a>which was launched for audiovisual companies such as suppliers and studios. \u201eWe need to tackle all the aspects of the audiovisual sector and not sensibilize not only the producer but also the provider\u201c, underlines Joanna Gallardo. Therefore, Ecoprod is organizing workshops and conferences where the various companies can exchange new sustainable innovations which they are going to bring on the market.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201eTechnology is on our side\u201c, enhances Belgian director <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/?s=nic+balthazar\">Nic Balthazar<\/a>.
