But documentaries films can also be produced sustainably behind the camera by reducing their carbon footprint during the entire production process.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How to green a documentary will be explained by British producer Paul Bradshaw, whose recent\u00a0 productions include <em>Wonders of the Monsoon<\/em> and <em>Earth\u2019s Greatest Spectacles<\/em>. The green measures of these <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/02\/20\/change-is-challenging\/\">BBC<\/a> productions were avoiding the use of generator power by using a relay of battery porters from the nearest mains grid point as well as use of local camera operators and local providers of camera equipment.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Germany, Film Comissioner Christiane Dopp from the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/02\/15\/the-green-gate-to-the-world\/\">Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein<\/a> (FFHSH) already issued more than 70<em> Green Shooting Cards<\/em> for several production formats, among them are also several sustainable produced documentaries. A film that qualifies for this green label is <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/de\/2016\/05\/23\/power-passion-und-magie\/\"><em>Power to change<\/em><\/a> by writer\/director and producer Carl A. Fechner who runs the production company fechnerMEDIA. \u201eWe avoided to take any planes and travelled by bus, train and electric car\u201c, reports Carl A. Fechner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The green documentary panel will be moderated by Birgit Heidsiek, Publisher of <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/about-us\/\">Green Film Shooting<\/a>.
