Produced by the Paris-based company Futurikon, <em>Minuscule: The Valley of the Lost Ants<\/em>, was a huge box office hit in France that also raised the bar for sustainable production. The gaffers simply used reflectors instead of lights. A solar-powered camper, serving as production hub, supplied a low-voltage power generator. The attention paid to catering remains hard to surpass. The Minuscule crew had their meals at a local farm which specialized in organic food.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The use of <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/01\/29\/the-french-connection\/\">Ecoprod\u2019s Carbon Clap<\/a> provided the producer with a running calculation of the production\u2019s environmental impact. By reducing carbon emissions from 380 tons of carbon to only 51, Minuscule is a preeminent example of sustainable production.
