Located at the <a href=\"http:\/\/luebeckerjugendring.de\/jugendring\/diele\">Diele<\/a> at Mengstra\u00dfe 41-43, the two-day event invites Film and Media scholars, Scandinavian Studies researchers, film professionals and students to panel discussions on film-related subjects. The L\u00fcbeck Film Studies Colloquium kicks off with the theme &quot;Environmental issues in Nordic Film and Television&quot;. Pietari K\u00e4\u00e4p\u00e4, Professor, University of Warwick, will speak about ecocritical perspectives on\/ in film and television while Julia Leyda, IASS Potsdam &amp; NTNU Trondheim, will follow with the presentation \u201cOccuppied: Cli-Fi and Contempary TV\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Green actions behind the camera will be the subject matter at the panel discussion &quot;Environmental Issues in European Film Production&quot; that takes place on November 4 at 1pm at Diele. Moderated by Pietari K\u00e4\u00e4p\u00e4, German writer\/ director Lars Jessen, Caroline Gjerulff from <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/06\/28\/green-inspirations\/\">Copenhagen Film Fund<\/a> and Birgit Heidsiek, Publisher,<a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/about-us\/\"> Green Film Shooting<\/a> will talk about sustainable film production in Europe. While many industries have to follow environmental standards, there is still a need to increase the awareness of sustainability in the film and media industry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/10\/Lars-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2849 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/10\/Lars-1.jpg\" alt=\"lars\" width=\"127\" height=\"155\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As Lars Jessen proved with various films he directed such as<em> Fraktus, <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=212&amp;action=edit\">Blo\u00df kein Stress<\/a><\/em> as well as the German crime series <em><a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2013\/02\/01\/climate-protection-in-st-pauli\/\">Gro\u00dfstadtrevier<\/a>, <\/em>it is not so complicated to go green with a production. If the director, main actor and the producers are willing to act in a more sustainable way, it is not so difficult to convince the rest of the crew members. But often it is still not so easy to introduce meatless days on set.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in Copenhagen the Scandi restaurant <em>Noma<\/em> sets the bar very high in its local cuisine with simple-sounding dishes such as apples and lemon thyme, cabbage leaves and new Danish potato. The compositions of chef Ren\u00e9 Redzepi are featured in the documentary <em>Noma \u2013 My Perfect Storm<\/em> by Pierre Deschamps which will be presented at the Nordic Film Days.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KdAgd3UaAC0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Noma<\/em> was awarded as the world\u2019s best restaurant.
