This was a key issue at the panel discussion <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2017\/01\/27\/sustainability-reloaded-2\/\">Sustainability Reloaded<\/a>, that <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/about-us\/\">Green Film Shooting<\/a> organized for the third time in cooperation with the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/de\/2017\/02\/11\/gruene-signale\/\">Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein<\/a> und MFG during the Berlin International Film Festival. &quot;We realized that it is not enough to share Best Practices on the shooting&quot;, emphasized Joanna Gallardo, Adviser of French consortium <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2017\/02\/15\/lets-green-it-in-post\/\">Ecoprod<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Due to the growing use of visual effects, 3D animation and video games in the film and media sector there is an increasing carbon footprint by computers. Paris-based post production company Illumination Mac Guff that created animated action adventures such as <em>Minions<\/em> and <em>Despicable Me <\/em>is consuming more electricity than the Eiffel Tower. The company realized that energy saving is also bringing down the costs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/208679037\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The sustainable management of resources is also an issue that is increasingly recognized in the Film\/TV industry in Italy. &quot;The studio\u00a0 company Lux Video shot the first sustainably-produced Italian TV series at Sardegna&quot;, said Nevina Satta, CEO of the Sardegna Film Commission. In Trentino, the regional Film Comission created the T-Green Film Rating-System that gives incentives when productions are going green. The first feature film that was produced sustainbly in Trentino is <em>Resina<\/em> by Renzo Carbonera.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Hamburg the collaboration with the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2014\/02\/05\/green-consciousness-on-the-set\/\">Hamburg Media School <\/a>pays off. Thanks to the\u00a0 cooperation with the Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein the student films are\u00a0 shot as green as possible. &quot;It is important that green production becomes normal for the next generation of filmmakers&quot;, says Christiane Dopp who is awarding the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/01\/28\/the-green-consciousness-of-a-production\/\">Green Shooting Card<\/a> at Film Commission Hamburg.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We are focussing too much on the process of shooting&quot;, remarked Carl-A. Fechner, Director\/ Producer of the green documentary <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/06\/13\/documentaries-are-going-green\/\"><em>Power to Change<\/em><\/a>. It is important to run the whole company in a sustainable way. &quot;Food is only one issue.
