In the documentary <em>The Games Changers<\/em>, the Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/12\/25\/illuminating-our-common-home\/\">Louie Psihoyos<\/a> is showing elite athletes, special ops soldiers and visionary scientists who dispel the dangerous myth that meat is necessary for protein, strength and optimal health.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Roman Gladiators ate a plant-based diet\u201d, emphasizes the elite special forces trainer James Wilks who started looking for an optimal diet for athletic perfomance and recovery after he got injured. During his research he found out that also human health and the planet itself is signifcantly impacted by what we eat. \u201cThe experts in our film are from the best colleges in the world such as Oxford and Havard\u201d, underlines Louie Psihoyos. \u201cAmong them are the head of anthropology and the head of nutrition at Harvard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Executive produced by <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2016\/07\/17\/less-meat-less-heat\/\">James Cameron<\/a>, <em>The Game Changers<\/em> present prestigious scientists who are explaining why plant-based diets are much healthier for human beings while several extreme sports men are proving it. Among them is Scott Jurek, one of the world\u2019s most accomplished ultra-runners, who is about to embark on a quest to become the fastest person ever to run the entire Appalachian Trail \u2014 some 2,200 miles \u2014 by running a double marathon every day for 46 straight days.
