In Germany, producer Fabian Lindner is consulting German broadcaster SWR as Green Shooting Consultant.With his company Langmatt Filmproduktion, he is producing sustainably the feature film <em>Franky Five Star, <\/em>that will be a\u00a0 co-production with Finland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/331707467\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From Finland comes Sustainability Coordinator Kaisa Astikainen who is preparing the first Finnish feature film will that will be produced sustainably by the Helsinki-based production company <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2018\/11\/02\/green-production-seminar-in-helsinki\/\">Bufo<\/a>. New York-based filmmaker Rocio Gimenez also works as production designer. The 2019 Berlinale Talent knows from experience that the team of low-budget projects often have other concerns than producing their film eco-friendly because they work under a lot of time pressure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is a common problem that New York-based Eco Supervisor Emellie O\u2019Brien is going to tackle with her company <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2018\/03\/06\/sustainability-on-set-the-post\/\">Earth Angel t<\/a>hat already greened renowned feature films, including <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2018\/03\/06\/sustainability-on-set-the-post\/\"><em>The Post<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/02\/09\/the-green-side-of-spider-man\/\"><em>The\u00a0Amazing Spider-Man 2<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/01\/23\/noahs-concept-of-sustainability\/\"><em>Noah<\/em><\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2017\/02\/23\/the-green-queen\/\"><em>Queen of Katwe<\/em><\/a>by as well as the Amazon Prime series <em>The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel.<\/em> With the new service Good Riddance she is collecting set material that will be given to non-profit organisations and creatives from the art community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/331732726\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile several French film studios are providing productions with set decoration material that they have in stock. Their Berlinale Competition film <em>System Crashe<\/em>r has been awarded a <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2013\/02\/01\/a-necessity-not-a-nicety\/\">Green Shooting Card<\/a> by the Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In France, the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/10\/29\/the-green-goddess\/\">\u00cele-de-France Film Commission<\/a> is rewarding environmental-friendly productions with an eco-bonus, as Joanna Gallardo, <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2018\/04\/07\/the-eco-universe-is-expanding\/\">Ecoprod<\/a> Adviser, points out. A lot of prestige but also a huge carbon footprint was brought to Italy when George Clooney was shooting the <em>Catch-22<\/em> series in Sardinia. Nevina Satta, CEO, <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2018\/02\/22\/the-sustainability-strategy\/\">Sardegna Film Commission<\/a>, speaks frankly about the challenges and chances that the Paramount production brought to her region. The need for sustainability on an island is also recognized in Spain.
