To encourage producers to commit to sustainable approaches for their supported projects, producers may now apply for a trained Eco Supervisor. The film fund will pay the salary if the production comes up with a convincing concept. This new level of support continues the path struck by the introduction of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffhsh.de\/de\/film_commission\/gruener_drehpass.php\">Green Shooting Card <\/a>in 2011.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201eThe Eco Supervisor is the green consciousness of a production\u201d, states Eva Hubert, Executive Director of Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein, \u201ewho takes responsibility for initiating sustainable measures and communicating them to the team.\u201d The Eco Supervisor\u2019s know-how draws chiefly on experience gleaned from other green productions. \u201eWe are building a network of Eco Supervisors who can transmit their skills.\u201d This transmission of green know-how includes recommendations for transportation and technical services that green the production as much as possible. \u201eOur goal is to pool these resources more effectively\u201c, stresses the Chief of the Film Fund.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/Kleine-Ziege.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-528 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/Kleine-Ziege-300x237.jpg\" alt=\"Kleine Ziege\" width=\"300\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/Kleine-Ziege-300x237.jpg 300w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/Kleine-Ziege-1024x809.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/Kleine-Ziege-630x498.jpg 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>In 2011, Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein awarded the first Green Shooting Card, which is now recognized throughout Germany as a bench mark. In 2014 alone, 16 productions qualified for it. A full spectrum of productions were awarded, ranging from the 3D short film <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2014\/08\/06\/shooting-in-a-sustainable-studio\/\"><em>Call Her Lotte<\/em><\/a> to the series <em>Notruf Hafenkante<\/em> and <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2014\/02\/05\/studio-hamburg-makes-it-happen\/\"><em>Gro\u00dfstadtrevier<\/em>;<\/a> from the TV movie <em>Die Insassen<\/em> to feature films like<a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/01\/24\/the-efficiency-test\/\"><em> Schrotten<\/em> <\/a>or <em>Kleine Ziege sturer Bock<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eEvery year, lots of film students apply\u201d, reports Christiane Scholz from the Hamburg Film Commission, which works in conjunction with the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2014\/02\/05\/green-consciousness-on-the-set\/\"><em>Hamburg Media School<\/em> <\/a>(HMS). This is the green talent pool of film students where the producing team of Dirk Decker and Andrea Sch\u00fctte of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamtamfilm.com\/\">Tamtam Film<\/a> found the HMS graduate Nadine Lewerenz, whom they hired as Eco Supervisor for their feature film Schrotten. \u201eDuring the production of <em>Schrotten<\/em>, we achieved many of our ambitions\u201d, says Nadine Lewerenz. Their dedication was awarded with a Green Shooting Card.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/LEDs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-531 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/LEDs-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"LEDs\" width=\"288\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/LEDs-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/LEDs-1024x785.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/01\/LEDs-630x483.jpg 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/a>The <em>Schrotten<\/em> set also served as a testing ground for LED lamps. A soon-to-be-released performance analysis, resulting from the partnership of filmmaker Philip Gassmann and the Italian manufacturer De Sisti, is being supported by the Film Fund. Philip Gassmann is a member of the green consultants\u2019 network, and he works with the Film Fund to organize workshops on green filmmaking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWe are delighted that our commitment to green production is now alsobeing adopted in other German regions like Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia\u201d, relates Eva Hubert. The green approach has also become an issue at the Federal Film Fund.
