The regional film funds <a href=\"https:\/\/filmivast.se\/\">Film i V\u00e4st<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/filmiskane.se\/sv\">Film i Sk\u00e5ne<\/a>, Film Stockholm, <a href=\"https:\/\/filmgotland.se\/\">Film p\u00e5 Gotland<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/filmpoolnord.se\/\">Filmpool Nord<\/a> have all signed on to this collaborative effort to re-envision film production in order to establish consistent and sustainable methods across the industry. H\u00e5llbar Film is a digital planning tool developed by sustainability experts Greentime AB in cooperation with Film i V\u00e4st. H\u00e5llbar Film assists production companies by structuring their assignments according to the UN\u2019s global sustainability targets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Swedish film industry holds great influence in society and can have a real impact towards a sustainable future. Unfortunately, current production methods are far from sustainable. The Swedish film industry has hitherto lacked the initiative to encourage and assist production companies,\u201d says Ronny Fritsche, sustainability expert in the film and TV industries and Head Representative for H\u00e5llbar Film.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/E-SDGs-Poster.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5666\" src=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/E-SDGs-Poster-300x178.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/E-SDGs-Poster-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/E-SDGs-Poster-768x456.jpg 768w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/E-SDGs-Poster-630x374.jpg 630w, https:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/02\/E-SDGs-Poster.jpg 801w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The film and TV industry leave their largest footprints during the production phase. Currently the European film industry primarily uses carbon calculators to measure the CO2 generated by productions \u2013 an environmentally one-sided approach. H\u00e5llbar Film is unique in that besides addressing environment factors, it also incorporate social and economic sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the regional film funds, H\u00e5llbar Film improves working conditions for the production companies while at the same time tracking and documenting the industry\u2019s impact. This in turn provides the film funds with the means to set common, measurable goals, and a tool for requiring production companies to follow sustainable practices,\u201d according to Fritsche.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve actually reached a milestone within the Swedish film industry.
