The Australian producer Trish Lake who produced with her company Freshwater Pictures documentaries such as <em>The Burning Season<\/em> and the award-winnig <em>Sharkwater<\/em> pointed out that she feels a responsibility as filmmaker to cover environmental subjects especially since Australia is one of the biggest carbon polluters.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we produced our movie <em>Scottish Mussel<\/em>, we were trying to stick to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bafta.org\/initiatives\/sustainability\/what-bs-8909-standard\">British standard BS8909<\/a>\u201d, reports Talulah Riley, Actress, Writer \/Director of the Scottish eco-romance. For this low-budget production the crew tried to limit transportation, they did car sharing and the actors brought there own costumes. \u201cIn this was, we were very sustainable\u201d, explains the filmmaker, \u201cbut as a low-budget production we could not afford to get an official certificate from BAFTA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are trying to produce our movies as sustainable as possible\u201d, says Andrea Sch\u00fctte, producer of Hamburg-based production outfit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamtamfilm.com\/\">Tamtam Film<\/a> . \u201cAt the time we set up our company, the <a href=\"http:\/\/greenfilmshooting.net\/blog\/en\/2015\/01\/28\/the-green-consciousness-of-a-production\/\">Filmf\u00f6rderung Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein<\/a> launched the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffhsh.de\/en\/film_commission\/gruener_drehpass.php\">Green Shooting Card<\/a>. We decided to follow these rules. I think, we have a certain responsibility to take care of our environment.
