Deauville extends deadline

Until April 26, filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, PR agencies as well as associations can submit their films, spots and documentaries on sustainability, eco-innovations and social responsibility to the eighth edition of the Deauville Green Awards. The two-day event that brings together film, media and sustainability experts from all across the world, will take place on June 12 and 13 in Deauville.

 

The Deauville Green Awards offers a unique opportunity for companies, institutions, NGOs and communities to promote actions and good practices to meet the challenges of climate change. The spots, corporate films and documentaries are presented in three competitions which are divided each in 14 thematic categories. The categories are focusing on great environmental challenges, fields of ecological applications and on societal issues.

 

The bandwidth of themes is spanning from fight and adaptation to the climate change and preservation of the biodiversity up to the energy transition, sustainable agriculture, transports & eco-mobility, eco-tourism & responsible travel, sustainable production & circular economy as well as responsible consumption & eco-labels. The societal issues include health and the living environment, organizations and social responsibility, disability, diversity, solidarity, innovations and technological leaps and, demographic transition.

 

An international jury of audiovisual communication professionals and sustainable development experts will preselect the films. 
The best films of each category in each of the three competitions are going to compete for a Golden Trophy. Furthermore, three Grands Prix are awarded to the best institutional films, documentaries and awareness campaigns, in all categories and sections. All the productions need to be submitted to the festival by April 26, 2019.
