Sustainability Award for Green Film Shooting

Green Film Shooting will be awarded as „2019 Sustainability Project". The decision was made by an expert jury that had to evaluate a variety of more than 500 projects which were submitted from Germany and abroad. The award provides support as well as access to the nationwide RENN network that is operated by the Regionale Netzstellen Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien (RENN) and the Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (RNE).

„We are very proud to receive this recognition", says Birgit Heidsiek, Founder of Green Film Shooting who is publishing the Green Film Shooting magazine in cooperation with Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH) since 2013. The magazine and the platform Green Film Shooting are informing the German and international industry about sustainable approaches, initiatives and developments in the film and media business. The launch of Green Film Shooting was inspired by the Green Shooting Card by the FFHSH which was the first film fund in Germany that put sustainability on its agenda started in 2012.

SDGs„It is a great opportunity to become part of the RENN network and to exchange our know-how with other sustainability initiatives“, emphasizes the Founder of Green Film Shooting. The abidance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which were defined by the United Nations in 2015, are also crucial for film and media production. Affordable and clean energy, innovation and infrastructure, responsible consumption and climate action are important as well as gender equality and, of course, partnerships for the goals.
