Eurimages teams up with Ecoprod

Eurimages, the cultural support fund of the Council of Europe, will host a specialised e-learning platform on sustainable film production to improve the professional skills of film professionals in all 38 Eurimages member countries and beyond. Following a call for proposals in December 2023, a jury of five industry experts has selected Ecoprod, the leading initiative on sustainable film production in France, to develop this plaform in collaboration with Eurimages.

Ecoprod is a non-profit association created in 2009 whose ambition is to support the environmental transition of the film and TV industry. Ecoprod brings together more than 280 companies representing all industry stakeholders: production companies, broadcasters, service providers, unions, film schools and public institutions.

The project will focus on the international co-production of feature-length films of all genres and types such as fiction, animation, documentary, crossover as well as experimental formats. The target group includes all film professionals such as producers, directors, and crew members. A modular training course will enable Eurimages to respond to the different levels of needs and expectations of professionals, while trying to facilitate the exchange of good practices among them.

The participants of this training course can qualify for a certificate but Eurimages won’t award any diploma or qualifications for green consultants or green managers.
