Green Film Shooting@TEDx

The TEDxWageningenUniversity is hosting a virtual climate conference. The topics that will be tackled by various experts at this live event include energy, transport, materials, food, nature, as well as film production. Among the speakers are Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson, Content Director for A Sustainable Tomorrow, Jos Cozijnsen, Carbon Specialist at the Climate Neutral Group in Utrecht, Patrick van der Meulen, Founder of solar energy supplier Enie.nl and Regional Coordinator of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project in the Benelux as well as Birgit Heidsiek, Publisher of Green Film Shooting, who will talk about green film production.

 

Edward Huijbens, Professor and Chair of Wageningen University cultural geography research group, will share ways how to travel climatically sustainable. Nils Joyeux promotes the development of low-carbon maritime transport to reduce polluting emissions of the transport industry. Geert Wiegertjes, Professor of Aquaculture and Fisheries at Wageningen University and President of the International Society of Developmental and Comparative Immunology, argues for an urgent and worldwide need for a sustainable production of fish in a world where demands for seafood are increasing rapidly.

 

Tim van Hattum, Program Leader Green Climate Solutions at Wageningen University & Research, has a mission to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life and aims to contribute to climate action by creating evidence base for nature-based climate solutions.

The TEDx virtual climate conference will be streamed live on YouTube on October 3, 2020.
