The third edition of the SOLPACK 3.0, the international conference for sustainable packaging solutions, will take place in Hamburg. For two days, pacoon, the German design agency for sustainable packaging solutions will bring together the international participants from the entire supply chain to discuss strategic approves, new solutions and upcoming trends in the industry. The wide spectrum of topics is ranging from latest technology trends in the recycling process and recycling-friendly plastic alternatives up to certification for international recyclability.
The goal of the conference is to improve networking in the industry in order to accelerate sustainable solutions. The cooperation partners of SOLPACK 3.0 include networks such as bio2pack and Umweltcluster Bayern, media partners,paper and cardboard manufacturer as well as suppliers of carbon offset solutions. The event will feature innovations from different countries and continents which may be adopted in order to create and strengthen sustainable partnerships.
SOLPACK 3.0 will take place on June 5 and 6 at the Campus of Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA). About 150 participants from Germany and abroad are expected to attend the event. A registration fee is required.

Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons who stars in the Berlinale Competition entry The Night Train To Lisbon is a fan of source segregated recycling. „Especially in Germany you have done a lot for that. You are examplary in the matter of waste separation.“
The Hollywood actor travelled around the world to promote the environmntal documentary feature film Trashed by Candida Brady which deals with the global garbage problem: „We buy it, we bury it, we burn it and then we ignore it“, says Brady. „With Jeremy Irons as our guide, we discover what happens to the billion or so tons of waste that goes unaccounted for each year.“
