Green production is an issue in South Tyrol

On the occasion of the Location of the Year Award, the South Tyrol’s Film Fund & Commission is inviting filmmakers, producers and further creatives to an information day on sustainable film production on the 30th of January, 30. The event will be kicked off by an introduction to green production. "Sustainability and energy efficiency in the film industry" is the title of a presentation by Green Film Shooting Publisher B
irgit Heidsiek who will gives an overview of different approaches and initiatives of sustainable film production in various European countries.  Furthermore, she will introduce measures and best practices for the environmentally-friendly film production.

 

Tim Wagendorp, Sustainability Coordinator, Flanders Audiovisual Fund in Brussels, gives an insight in the requirements and implementation of green productions. „As Sustainability Coordinator, I mainly focus on film and media productions that are supported by VAF”, says Wagendorp, who also gives a fresh impetus to other areas at VAF such as cinema, script as well as training.

 

Luca Ferrario, Project Manager, Trentino Film Commission, will report about the introduction and experiences with the green incentive program T-Green Film that provides financial incentives for sustainable productions. One of the feature films that received an incentive is the Lucky Red production Ride by J.Rondinelli, that had Tommaso Arrighi as Executive Producer on board. His most recent production with the production outfit Mood Film is The Guest by  D. Chiarini, that premiered at the 2018  Locarno Film Festival. Moderated by Green Film Shooting, the panellists will discuss their different experiences, solutions and approaches for green productions. tauschen.
