Berlinale Talents go green: Space Invaders

The New York-based activist duo Mike Bonanno and Andy Bichlbaum who already presented their films The Yes Men and The Yes Men Fix the World in the Panorama, are coming back to Berlin with the documentary The Yes Men Are Revolting by Laura Nix zu den Berlinale Talents. The to activists who have been acted as spokesmen from huge organizations such as the WHO or companies such Dow Chemical at press conferences and news shows in the last 15 years where they announced a compensation fot the Bophal victims which made the stocks crash, are now In the mid 40’s and about to end their activist career – although they are about to prepare for the biggest challenge in their lives: They try to stop the climate change.

 

At the panel Space Invaders The Yes Men will talk about their new documentary. The event takes place at HAU Hebbel am Ufer on Wednesday, February 11 at 2pm.

 

oliFurthermore, the Berlinale Talents can meet some experts in order to learn how to produce films ain a sustainable way. Olivier-René Veillon, director of Ile de France Film Commission and founding partner of Ecoprod, will share his experience with the upcoming filmmakers. (Photo: Eric Bonté)

 

GeiIn addition, Michael Geidel, co-founder of the Green Film Initiative, will talk about best practice examples and methods to lower the carbon emissions.
