Film festival on climate change

The Greenmotions Filmfestival that takes place for the second time in the South German city of Freiburg from November  13 to 15 will focus on films which are dealing with subjects such as renewables, energy transition or climate change. Contributions to the festival can be sent until  September 30. The goal of the Greenmotions Filmfestival is to raise awareness for sustainable thinking and actions in the population in the forefront of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris and to boost the energy transition.

 

At the festival, filmmakers and the audience can share their visions and discuss the possibilities and challenges which will be required  when it comes to energy transition. Therefore, the screenings will be followed by q&a sessions as well as panel discussions.

 

The festival accepts films of all genres which have been completed after December 31, 2013. Short films with a length up to 30 minutes will be presented as well as feature length films with a running time between 20 and 120 minutes. The best feature-length film will be awarded the audience award with comes with € 1,000. The award for the best short film that also includes a prize money of € 1,000 will be given out by a jury.
