Global Climate March

One day before the COP21 in Paris kicks off, the organization Avaaz initiates a Global Climate March on November 29. In total, more than 1,500 events  are planned worldwide.  In the regions where are no Global Climate March activities yet, potential participants can start their own event. The goal of this worldwide day of action is that as many people as possible go together on the street.

Last year, the Global Climate March brought together more than 70,000 people. And this year, there might be even more. "If hundreds of thousands participate in this event all around the globe, we are going to show the politicians at their meeting in Paris that they can’t ignore our movement", declare the organizers. "Taking place only a few hours before the climate summit,  this action will underline the demand of the people for a binding climate agreement. And this includes the worldwide resolution to switch over to 100 % renewable energy!"
