The 14th edition of the Deauville Green Awards will take place in Paris. Since 2012, the festival presents advertising, institutional and documentary films on the ecological and social transition. The three competitions on documentaries, info films and spots are structured by different topics in fifteen catgories such as fight adaption to climate change, preservation of biodiversity as well as protection of the oceans and water environments. The fields of ecological applications include the energy transition, agriculture and sustainable resources, climate resilient cities, eco-mobility, eco-tourism, sustainable production as well as circular economy. There are also societal issues covered such as quality of life, social responsibility, solidarity and human rights.
Producers, agencies, broadcasters, companies and institutions who submit their film online to one of the three competitions will compete in their category for the trophies that will be handed over at the Deauville Green Awards. The selection of the award winner is decided by an international jury, consisting of 50 experts from the audio-visual industry as well as ecology. Moreover, various institutions such as The GreenShot or BPI France give out a Special Prize at the awards ceremony.
In addition to the screenings, the Deauville Green Awards provide various workshops and panel discussions with producers, broadcasters, advertisers as well as environmental experts and scientists. At the innovation marketplace, festival participants can meet audiovisual and sustainable development exhibitors who share innovative and eco-responsible shooting, post production and digital solutions.
This year, films can be submitted to the Deauville Green Awards until April 15, 29025. The Professionnel Day of the Deauville Green Awards will be hosted at the Fondation GoodPlanet in Paris on June 4, 2024. Three days later on June 7, the Deauville Green Awards will open the doors for a General Public Day.

Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons who stars in the Berlinale Competition entry The Night Train To Lisbon is a fan of source segregated recycling. „Especially in Germany you have done a lot for that. You are examplary in the matter of waste separation.“
The Hollywood actor travelled around the world to promote the environmntal documentary feature film Trashed by Candida Brady which deals with the global garbage problem: „We buy it, we bury it, we burn it and then we ignore it“, says Brady. „With Jeremy Irons as our guide, we discover what happens to the billion or so tons of waste that goes unaccounted for each year.“
Since the world premiere at the International Cannes Film Festival in 2012 Trashed picked up various nominations and awards at international festivals.
